This past weekend was great. Hiking, sunshine, a chili cookoff with friends. I love a party where the host/hostess are enjoying themselves, people are relaxed, kids and dogs are running around. I tend to overthink when I throw a party..."what's the theme? food? dinnerware? guest list?" I think it was Colin Cowie (party planner to the *stars*) who said that people don't really care about all that stuff; they just want to share an evening with you. Maybe this summer I'll have a few more get togethers and enjoy my friends.

You are so right. I have been trying to tone it down and enjoy myself more when I entertain lately.
