will you be watching?

Project Runway has their season finale tomorrow. Who's your pick? Mondo? Gretchen? Andy? I actually loved Michael C's feather skirts and liquid gowns last week and was bummed he didn't make it in (not as bummed as he was obviously with the tears and tantrums...) Can't wait!

classic comfort

Ina Garten...you had me at "hello" or was it your tempting "how bad can that be?". Your macaroni and cheese is da bomb and so perfect when there's a chill in the air. Find the recipe here.

soft sheets

Soft, soft flannel sheets...could anything be better when it gets cold outside? Makes it officially Fall in our house.

weekend plans?

Any big plans this weekend? Last week was fall break so after a full 5 days of work I think I'll be catching up on sleep, laundry, and trying out a new recipe for roasted butternut squash, apple, and bacon soup...and wearing those heels while I do.

dual purpose

what a cute idea...carve your house number into pumpkins and celebrate the season!

yep, I did

I watched Thintervention while eating a hot fudge sundae. Yep, I did.

back to the grind

Fall break was fabulous...visiting an adorable baby and being in awe of magnificent trees in Yosemite (Oprah has a show on the park 10/29--so you might get to see what I saw). Back to reality tomorrow...but totally enjoying a Peruvian Andes coffee I picked up.

...and, we're off

Fall break begins today at 3:00 (not that I'm counting the hours and minutes...) and tomorrow we're off to California to see baby bundles of joy and tall mighty trees. See you on the flip side and enjoy your week!

name dropping

This year our children have given birth to a new baby, a new house, and a new career...quite a few changes and all rank up high on the stress level. To make things easier for everyone during the holiday season we are going to be choosing names from a hat (not necessarily a top hat as the picture suggests...)where each recipient will only buy for one person. I haven't done anything like this since I was a child but we're hoping it will make the gift giving season less stressful and more spirit driven. What about your family? Do you buy for hundreds or have some sort of system for cost/stress effectiveness?

rain,rain

Living in Arizona we don't get too many thunderstorms other than the summer monsoon season-- but last night I went to bed with a thunderstorm and woke up with thunder, lightning, and lots of rain coming down...crazy, crazy. On the upside...get to wear my rain boots today.

what are you doing for your Fall break?? We're going to Rubyland--where magic happens and life is happy all the time. This is her at 5 months...can't wait to see her!
