tastes like a weekend

We took a quick trip to Phoenix today where it was 100°...cray cray crazy. If the temps are rising in your neck of the woods then shake up this quick and refreshing cocktail to cool off~

the Margarita

2 oz of tequila

1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice

1/2 oz of dark agave nectar

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice; shake for 5-10 seconds. Strain and serve in a cocktail glass, or pour into a highball glass.

Notes: Dark and light agave are both delicious, but dark is sweeter and a bit more complex. If you can't find dark agave or already have the light stuff on hand, you may need up to 3/4 of an ounce for the perfect combination.

(original recipe uses a reposado tequila-Corralejo- but we used a clear Jose Cuervo+ lime+3/4 oz light agave nectar- and it was great)
