Sweet as Sugar
I have such a sweet tooth and when I saw the bright and beautiful colors of frosting decorating these shortbread cookies...I was smitten! From etsy seller, Cakebox Cookies ,who offers lots of styles and ways to customize a birthday party, wedding, baby shower...fab! My children's website, The Cupcakes Club is giving away a half dozen of these delicious and fun cookies just for leaving a comment. How sweet is that?

Half full for you?
I'm not sure who started all the bad news, but I am so not digging it. Gloom doom everywhere and not a glimmer, not a sparkle to give us hope. Not here dear readers. I've had it. I'm bustin out. Somebody's got to take this badness, this madness and give it a shake and remind people that things will get better.
How?
As silly as it may sound...think a happy thought. Be a child, close your eyes, and make a wish. Think of the best outcome. Be simple. Be creative. Be nice to someone. Smile. Give thanks.
On Monday, I woke up with pressure on my right eye. Immediately I thought "brain tumor" (see my Woody Allen post earlier to understand). On my way to the doctor I decided I should be thankful because I have two eyes and I'd still be able to see with my left eye.
Okay...it was only an eye infection and drops will clear it up...but the point is...I could have been all wackadoodled out with losing an eye...but I turned it around. Turn it around, America. Turn it around.

Madness
If you're not on Tracy Porter's email list you may not have heard about her "Spring Clearance Madness" sale. It's amazing. How amazing? Think $200 earrings for $28 or $300 fashion items for $25. What are you waiting for?

Our daughter, Audrey and her husband Joshua were here with us on Valentine's Day. A big thank you to my family for playing along on the video --it was a lot of fun and the meal turned out AMAZING!

Thank you!
Thank you SO much to Vicki from French Essence for giving me a "fabulous blog" award. Vicki is really the one with the fabulous-ness...
her blog covers France, London, Australia and is such eye candy...go see! Now, the rules are to give this award to ten other blogs...but how difficult will that be?! I enjoy all the blogs I have listed and more and more are coming into my life...you all deserve such an award!

DayTripper
I took the day off from work and traveled to Scottsdale for some fun and "spring" cleaning. I went to the amazing Roscoe who cut me back into shape with the best Ellen Barkin bob...love it. I had this cut a couple of years ago and then EVERYONE had the cut (thanks Posh Spice/Victoria Beckham...) so I let mine grow out. But, I missed it--and now I'm feeling like I have a style. And-- LEGS!! I think I'm going on my 4th or 5th year of leg injections to get rid of spider veins on my legs. It's totally changed my life. There was a time when my legs never saw the light of day and now I can wear just about anything...amazing. Currently, I'm in my "mannequin" leg support hose- but they come off in a couple of days. I'll be all set for the Arizona spring and summer.

How adorable and sweet is this? I would want to sign up for the simple reason to check out the studio who thought of such a clever ad.

something special
In honor of a certain blog's two year (TWO YEARS??!!!) anniversary at the end of this week...I thought I might share with you how it all began...
*cue the dreamy music*

Anyone that’s been doing EBay long enough knows to wait for the last possible second to type in your bid. At times it can be risky because there is always the other guy doing the same thing as you and you could lose out if you bid too low but it’s a chance you have to take. You see, I’m an EBayaholic.
My friends are always amazed at the things I have bought on this mother of all auction sites. From clothing to clocks to antique leather chairs that fill my house, I have found and bid on them. I find that EBay is much more than just an auction internet house.
It truly is an amazing phenomenon in our world and one that nobody could have guessed would be here 10 years ago. It’s like the Starbucks of the internet. It’s easy, quick, and people get addicted.
Every auction tells a story.
Naturally most are about the item that is being auctioned off but there are many untold stories about the buyer and seller that we’ll never know. The people that I have become acquainted with and the friendly e-mails we have exchanged all make the winning that much sweeter. I have been fortunate to meet several sellers of items I have bought on Ebay and have delighted in the friendship.
Every auction has a story and this one is based on mine .

My hands were sweaty. My heart was racing. My fingers were arched in a ready position over the keyboard. The time had come to place my bid.
