Hmmm...couldn't this one have been kept on the "QT" "flew under the radar" kept it hush-hush? Is he that popular that he needed all of the world to know? Season of Hope? Is that because of Obama and the Democratic Convention that is happening in Denver? Heck no, people! We are talking about the Season of Hope for Dancing with The Stars...La Lucci, Susan Lucci will be there along with Misty May-Treanor, two-time Olympic gold medalist in beach volleyball, Lance Bass, former N*SYNCer , Kim Kardashian (who knows why), television chef Rocco DiSpirito, 82-year-old Cloris Leachman ( who knew?), Toni Braxton, and some football player, a comic, and a runner who I don't know either. There is HOPE when we see Fall TV is coming back.

There is no way that I could get away with these Christian Dior cutaway sandals for so many reasons--nearly 5 inch heel, $780 price tag--but they are so fabulous.

So, we love Sara Bareilles and we love this green dress...isn't it the most perfect shade? But, if you have not been you must go to her website because it's just too wonderful for words--that is if you like pen and ink as I do.

Did you see the interview with these two over the weekend? It was really strange to see Mark Spitz mustache-less and with gray hair...sort of like going to a class reunion and not recognizing the men because of their physical changes.

I love Gold as much as the next American--but when you really think about it-- a SILVER medal means you're second best in THE WORLD and bronze brings you in THIRD in the WORLD. I'd say you're pretty darn good to score a medal or to even GO to the Olympics and compete...congrats to all!!

Bon Voyage

How many of us would like to say "see you later, rat race", pack our bags, and go explore lands unknown. It's something you dream about at least once in your life but most of us jump into the game of life and carry mortgages, kids, pets, jobs, etc...and don't get to take that opportunity.

Welcome Josh and Audrey (that would be my daughter and her husband) to the game of LIFE. They were living in Santa Barbara, CA (which ain't too shabby) with jobs, rented apartment, and were not quite sure where they wanted to go with their future. Solution? Take a break. Take a moment. Hit pause on "life" and really LIVE. They just traveled to New Zealand last weekend and are planning on staying for 6 months or so to explore, to grow, to live, and to dream about what they want to do next. Share their story here. They would love to hear about any "must-see" attractions if you've been. If you've ever dreamed about doing anything like this--live vicariously through them and then take your own great adventure!

Michael Phelps just earned his third gold in Beijing, broke a world record, and tallied up his ninth career Olympic gold. That ties him with Mark Spitz, and three other athletes for the most golds in Olympic history. Not bad for a jump in the pool.

Dream Big

This is one of those moments that have you on the edge of your seat, out of your seat, jumping, yelling, and totally in the moment of what these guys are going for. USA Gold in Swimming Relay--and the funny thing is--you might find me in the pool once a year...at midnight...with no lights on...no people around...after a bottle of wine with husband. No interest at all in the swim factor but love the "going for it" gusto.

I always get a little weepy when Americans do their best and are successful in capturing the gold medal. What a cheeseball I am. Anyways, watch a little of the Olympics and catch the fever...swimming and gymnastics are my favorite while my husband is amazed at the women's softball (he admits he could never hit one of their pitches!) Good Luck USA and EVERYONE go after your dreams!

Back to School

School starts this week and although I hope to be posting daily...one never knows. So, pack up your lunchbox--especially if it looks like this adorable three tier cutie from Graham and Green. -- and remember your first day at school (it IS a magical,mysterious feeling isn't it??!)
