no movie for those with an imagination

Thanks to Netflix I saw this movie because, to be perfectly honest, it wasn't my cup of tea. I'm more the good time, where's the happy ending, and ain't love grand sort of movie girl.
It definitely made an impression though...where, as I walked past our glass front doors I thought how Anton could easily make an entrance without even using that air gun. Or, how if he took off his boots in my kitchen there would be no way I could hear him in my bedroom on the opposite side of the house as he approached to slaughter me while sleeping.
Best picture? To each his own...but not for this good time girl.

use your imagination

Do you think if I ask for a haircut a la Lisa Rinna that my next post will be contemplating breast implants and lip injections?

one bag at a time

This is my all time favorite grocery shopping bag. There's patch pockets on the outside, inside, and it's a strong and sturdy raw canvas to hold everything from your shopping list. Recycled rope and rivets give it bragging rights. Go green with style girlfriend....make those plastics and papers jealous.

I don't get it

This is a picture (or real close to it...) of the toilet paper holders we have in our home. Polished nickel, no springs, a "slip and slide", "off and on", "so easy a monkey could change the toilet paper" sort of piece of hardware.

So, my husband is sweet enough to do the grocery shopping today and buy the toilet paper and even takes the time to divide up the 24 mega rolls into the three bathrooms... thanks baby!

But, why is it when I go into one of the bathrooms to "do my business" I see that the roll of toilet paper is sitting on top of the hardware. Not on the back of the toilet, not by the sink and definately NOT ON THE HARDWARE meant for holding the toilet paper. I don't get it...slide off the empty and slide on the full. So close...so close, but yet so far.

torn between two web designers....

Sometimes I am such a girl.

Some of you know I have been building, designing, creating, and uploading a new website. Let's make this clear...I HAVE NOT, BUT a hired web designer/developer has.

It's been crazy with week after week in delays and month after month of "almost-dones."

But, the website that was created turned out great...very creative, bright, colorful and perfect for our target audience of the 7-12 year old girl. The only problem we were having was that we were not able to upload our blogs or answer questions from kids because emails were not working and there was still some tweaking to be done with the "backstage" or the "plumbing" of the website. We realized that something needed to be done and realized that our frustration level was growing day by day when there was no progress.

So, I went out and found another web developer. Yes, I did. Web designer #1 was paid off so everything was on the up and up. With #1, I felt as though we were thought of as a pest near the end of our relationship and things were not being done that needed to be done....so, BAM! Found website developer #2.

I feel as though I'm a new customer. Emails on the weekend regarding the work....emails asking about this or that...wow! I feel so pampered and cared for. Now, I realize that we are in the newlywed phase....but I think I'm in love.

The girl part...web designer #1 still needs to send files,etc..to web designer #2 and I feel so awkward asking for them...sort of like claiming your stuff after a break up. Like, does #1 KNOW that we are leaving him for someone that takes care of us....completes our website? I may need to go back to #1 one day for an animation or a new game....but for now, my site belongs to #2.

Easter treats

I'm all for celebrating Easter...egg hunts, church, easter baskets, family time.
I don't understand why some businesses choose to take the day off though...especially businesses that can be shared and enjoyed with the family. I mean, wouldn't Jesus have enjoyed a nice, yummy, soft serve cone on this Springtime holiday from the local ice cream/frozen yogurt shop? I think it would have been cool and refreshing for Him.

she bangs, she moves

I know it's old, but on my ipod it's new. And you can bet your sweet dancing with the stars that I was SO banging while hauling 20 pounds of groceries in my backpack from the closest Safeway to my home. Priscilla Presley eat your heart out.
