Change. Some people love it while others loathe it.I like controlled change.
I don't like the rug pulled out from under me, but if I'm rolling up the rug then it makes me feel more welcome to new things. The Mr. and I are doing some changes and it makes you feel a bit bohemian; a free spirit. We're ready to travel outside of the safety bubble and see where we end up.
Such a great Valentines weekend (and birthday weekend for "Papa") spent with Audrey, Josh, and Ruby. Bubbles, learning to speak "toddler", and playing with a cute almost two year old filled the few days we were in California.
It melts your heart when Ruby says Papa's name; one word filled with such sweet love. The last pic kind of says it all.
Happy Birthday to blog! Seriously; I've been doing this for 5 years?! Crazy. She was a planned blog...given birth to document ideas, inspiration, and tidbits of daily life. She has good manners and has grown into such a fine young little blog. Happy Birthday blog...may there be many more.
We may be late to the party but thanks to Netflix; we're watching and loving Boardwalk Empire. Looking for a new series to fill your TV time? This is it.
This is looking like a jam-packed week but it's all good.
The showing for Saturday was postponed until Monday (hooray!) so we had a couple of extra days to stage the home front.
Our new school lunchtime routine is beyond good...it's amazing. Teaching our kids what to do and how to behave at lunch ("restaurant voices") was a "filling in the blank" for many of the kids we see. Along with better behavior in the lunchroom we are down to 4 trash bags rather than the normal 10--unbelievable and can't help but wonder if all schools would do this, what an impact it would have (although reusable lunch trays would be best; you need to start somewhere).
Shipping labels are on DOTS bags and stuffing them with LOVE tees starts today or tomorrow at the latest...gotta smile knowing that many will be pouring on our LOVE on Valentines Day this year.

Looking forward to the weekend but I know it's going to be crazy busy. We're putting our house back on the market which means getting it together which means putting away, packing, organizing to make it look like you always live like this. First showing is Saturday...which most people would love but I curse and complain (sort of like when the housekeeper comes..happy they are there but cleaning up before they come to clean up!)
DOTS also got slammed with orders (thank you!) so lots of packing (and trying to keep it clean) will be happening. And like any other weekend I would love to catch up on a few zzzzz's. What about you??
